  • This suite of four resources can help states navigate the long and complicated process related to Part B Indicator 3 data. The process begins when a student is registered as a test-taker in a state assessment system and ends with public reporting via the State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR).

In collaboration with IDC State Liaisons, states can use the toolkit to create and maintain a culture of high-quality data and establish and support consistent practices that produce valid and reliable data, while building the capacity of state staff.

Using this toolkit to create protocols for all data collections will establish a well-managed process for data collection, analysis, and reporting. States can use the toolkit to establish and support consistent practices that produce valid and reliable data, build the capacity of data stewards, and create and maintain a culture of high-quality data.
