General Supervision

Overview

Strong state general supervision systems help ensure effective implementation of IDEA and improved outcomes for students with disabilities. Data are the foundation of a state's IDEA General Supervision system. A data-driven approach helps states understand how well programs are meeting federal requirements and, more importantly, how effectively students with disabilities are being served. IDC supports states in assessing their data practices and taking actions to ensure their data accurately represent the experiences of students with disabilities in their state.
