Dispute Resolution

Overview

Dispute Resolution is one of seven federal Section 618 data collections that states submit through EDFacts. These data capture how conflicts related to the provision of special education services are formally addressed, including due process hearings, mediations, and state complaints. States report outcomes of such disputes in their SPP/APR under Indicators 15 and 16. On this page, you will find IDC fundamental resources related to Part B Dispute Resolution data and have an opportunity to dig deeper in our Resource Hub.
