Montana and Arkansas Part B Data Managers presented how they conduct their post-school outcomes (Indicator B14) surveys and how they have been able to increase their response rates over four years. They discussed what has worked for them, what they have learned along the way, and how they can now use these data as a part of their SSIP analysis.

This presentation can help SEAs learn about perspectives on stakeholders as allies and formulate essential questions to consider as they implement Phases II and III of the SSIP.

The SSIP Phase III Process Guide describes the requirements and a proposed process for developing a high-quality plan and is intended to support states in designing a high-quality process for completing Phase III of their SSIPs. The Part B State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2016 Indicator Analyses presents a national picture of the implementation of IDEA based on a review of information 60 states and jurisdictions reported in their FFY 2014 APRs and amended SPPs that they subsubmitted to OSEP in spring of 2016.

The presentation focuses on the key aspects of planning for evaluation of the SSIP. Highlighted information includes the purpose of evaluation, setting the state for evaluation, the importance of focusing on outcomes, evaluation logic, and planning. Helpful handouts are included.

This document provides a list of recommended existing resources for state Part C and Part B 619 staff and TA providers to use to support evaluation planning for program improvement efforts including the SSIP. The document focuses on resources that are more relevant to evaluation and evaluation planning for early intervention and preschool special education.
