    Cohort Selection - Making Decisions on Where to Focus Implementation

    Selection of a cohort, or Transformation Zone, for SSIP implementation is a principle consideration in developing an action plan. The presentation addresses variables that states should considered in making those decisions and provides information on methods to determine readiness and eliciting involvement of an LEA/EIS.

    Part B State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2017 Indicator Analyses
    The Part B State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2017 Indicator Analyses presents a national quantitative picture of the implementation of Part B of IDEA based on a review of information 60 states and jurisdictions (with exceptions as noted for individual indicators) reported in their FFY 2015 APRs and amended state-submitted 2017 SPPs/APRs. For the purposes of the report, the term “state” is inclusive of the 50 states and jurisdictions. The report, which covers Part B Indicators 1 through 17, can be downloaded in Word format.

    CEIS and CCEIS Example Scenarios for Tracking Fiscal and Child Data

    OSEP requires SEAs to report data on the LEAs that use IDEA funds for either CEIS or CCEIS through the IDEA Part B Maintenance of Effort (MOE) Reduction, CEIS, and CCEIS data submission. The purpose of this resource is to provide examples of how SEAs and LEAs can accurately track the funds used for CEIS and CCEIS and track the children who receive those services.

    Using the Part B Data System Framework to Improve Data System Capacity and Enhance Data Quality

    This session introduced the IDEA Data Center Part B Data System Framework as a tool to guide development of a coherent approach to improving data quality and data systems. The overall purpose of the framework and accompanying products is to allow states to assess progress toward valid collection, analysis, use, and reporting of Part B IDEA data. The presenter also presented and described a companion data system graphic.
