Nevada’s capital city was buzzing with collaboration as IDC TA providers met with twelve staff members from the Nevada Department of Education (NDE) for an onsite work session using IDC’s SEA Data Processes Toolkit. Participants from both the Office of Comprehensive Student Services and the Office of Assessment, Data, and Accountability Management came together to document key IDEA data processes.
The in-person format fostered strong engagement and transparency, allowing teams to align on shared practices and clarify responsibilities. As one NDE staff member noted, “When we have our processes documented, we can show that our data is valid and reliable—and focus on using it, not questioning it.” With clearer documentation in place, Nevada is better equipped to respond to questions from stakeholders and ensure consistent, high-quality data practices across the state.
